I experiment with the unpredictability of plants by growing and harvesting, observing and foraging, and tethering myself to nature’s seasons. Blooming and dyeing takes time. I smell, cook, immerse and bundle up plants, blooms, leaves, seeds, roots, berries, and bark. I transform the natural world and it transforms me. I was compelled to create the Mushroom Color Atlas as a resource and reference for everyone curious about exploring the chromatic universe of fungi through the spectrum of colors naturally produced by mushrooms.
